10 Things I Find Incredibly & Naturally Chic
Late to this trend, but here are a few things I just find cute and incredibly authentically chic on people.
1. Cute bedding and sheets with tassels
Something about this just screams “put together.” If your bedroom is aesthetic, you’re probably aesthetic. And there are so many good, affordable options on Wayfair and Amazon, and some cute ones on Urban Outfitters as well. 😉
2. Red or pink nails
I’ve fully bought into the propaganda that we should all, as a collective, have well-kept nails. They don’t need to be done all the time, but when they are? A good pink or red polish just goes with everything—classy, chic, and timeless.
3. Slicked-back hair or natural hair (relaxed, curly, or coily)
I love all hairstyles—braids, wigs, whatever—but there’s something so beautiful about women in their natural hair, especially when it’s styled well. My own hair is relaxed, and when it’s freshly curled, I feel like it frames my face perfectly.
4. A bag that complements an outfit
Every outfit needs a bag. From the Alo tote to the Trader Joe’s grocery bag to a Chanel purse—bonus points if it matches your nails or a piece of clothing.
5. Louboutins
Nothing else to say. Red bottoms will forever be a part of our fashion culture.
6. Baggy jeans with a cool top
The universal outfit. Dress it up, dress it down. Pair with a crop top, button-up, or bikini top—instant outfit upgrade.
7. A clean MacBook/laptop
A clean MacBook is just… chic. No notes.
8. Gold jewellery
Stacked or simple, gold jewellery on Black or African skin is unmatched.
9. Diamond earrings
Instantly makes you look expensive.
10. Cute sweaters
The right sweater can make an outfit interesting and well put together. I love finding mine at & Other Stories—pricey, but worth it.
Bonus!:
Makeup ,I love a bare face, but a well-done makeup look can pull everything together so seamlessly.
